| Fire Alarm Panels |
People use fire alarms to detect fires, however, in a large building, people have troubles with hearing a fire alarm in another room. Due to this, the emergency services may not have the time to prevent fire spreading. Installing a fire alarm panel solves this problem by wiring all of the alarms together and allowing a person to monitor each of them. It means that people will be informed in case of a fire in a room which is too far to hear the alarm.
There are two types of fire alarm panels:
Conventional - is commonly used nowadays in small houses. It consists of indicators divided into zones. Each zone has a certain amount of devices to it and gives the signal in case of activation of any device. Its main disadvantage is that it isn't really able to specify the exact device which has been activated. This means that if the panel is activated, people have to find the fire in the zone specified by that circuit by themselves. Locating the fire will take time that could be used to prevent a huge disaster.
Addressable – it is usually more technologically advanced than the conventional one. This type of panel does much more things than the conventional panel. The first thing is that it can actually locate the alerting device. It means that people won’t have to spend time locating a small fire. Therefore, fires can be extinguished faster and they will avoid greater damage.
Both two types of fire alarms can be beneficial at your home; choosing one of them should depend upon your needs. When deciding which alarm panel to select, think over different factors like, how many rooms need to be monitored, how many closed and open spaces your house consists of etc. | |
